Salutations ladies and gentlemen, friends, family and fans!!!
First of all I just wanna say sorry that I haven’t kept things as up to date as they should be with the web site (I’m workin’ on it, it’s all new to me) Second I wanna thank all of the fans, friends, and family for the support that you all have shown me.
So what’s been going on with me? Well, I’ll give everyone the condensed version of things for the most part.
FIGHT STUFF
Well I took my ass whippin’ from Matt Riddle at UFC on Versus and with the lessons learned from the beat down I started filling the holes that were so painfully pointed out in my game. In a way it’s nice, not that I ever enjoy losing, but a new kind of fire has been lit inside of me, a fire that burns a lot cleaner and healthier than the previous one. Instead of sitting around feeling bad for me (which I have been guilty of doing, I will be the first to admit) I decided to do things a little differently. No month long breaks, no excessive time with Bud Light soaking sorrows in liquid courage. Rather than that, I picked my cheek bone up, put it in my gym bag and decided to adjust. I was back in the gym after only a week off. I’m hitting up the weights and eating cleaner than I had in the past. No more fat kid potential flaring up. I’m never starting a camp at 209 lbs again. Besides not making weight, it’s damn spendy. I’m not paying anyone 2k for not making it again FML. This Friday I'm off to Peak Performance Project aka P3 in Santa Barbra for strength and conditioning for two weeks and will be tightening up some jiu-jitsu game with Jeff Glover down at Paragon BJJ. Don’t worry I will keep the site updated, the trip should be filled with random acts of awesomeness. I will have the pics and video to prove it.
PERSONAL LIFE S*&!
Slowly moving towards finishing up workin on the new condo. It’s weird how trips to Home Depot slowly make me feel more big kid-ish than I really am LOL. Finally little man and I will have a spot of our very own and he will be rockin’ the hell out of his IRONMAN room - I love it. The family situation with my mom, sister and life as a whole outside the UFC have steadily calmed down. At the end of the day Family is Family and my job is to just play the cards. My mind is clearer than it had been previous to San Diego and my body is feeling like it’s playing catch up. I can’t wait for them both to be in sync, it will be a fun thing to watch.
Hats off to Matt Riddle, he was the better guy tonight, congratulations. Thanks to everyone for their support, to my fans, the UFC, Lorenzo and Dana - I will be back and stronger.

DAMARQUES NAMES THE WINNER OF HIS NICKNAME CONTEST
Congratulations to Richard Bauer who entered the name "Darkness" via Twitter. DaMarques, who is well known in his home state of Utah by the moniker, opted to keep it when Bauer, who hails from California entered it. Thanks to everyone who submitted suggestions, there were some great ones!
